Reese & Ryan Call it Quits

After seven years of being married, the best-dressed Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe call it quits and seperate. 

Reese Witherspoon and husband Ryan Phillippe may have separate houses in Splitsville, but there seems to be little to no ill will towards each other. It was discovered on Monday that the couple was separating and that Reese Witherspoon has already recruited the prominent celebrity divorce lawyer Robert Kaufmann.

Sources say the decision to split was actually made several weeks ago. Their major concern was managing damage control before the divorce became public in order to protect their two children. Reese and Ryan were well aware of the media ?feeding frenzy? that would be brought on by the split. It was reported that differences within the Witherspoon-Phillippe marriage were ?cumulative? and that no one incident triggered its demise.

An inside source reprots their currentl relationship can be categorized as ?civilized.? Witherspoon has become a big screen force to be reconned with and was adored in her role in Legally Blonde and Legally Blonde 2: Red, White, and Blonde. Well, she may soon be legally single. Other movies under Witherspoon?s belt include Sweet Home Alabama, Walk the Line, and Vanity Fair.

Laura Jean Reese Witherspoon was born on March 22, 1976 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She was the second child born to Dr. John and Betty Witherspoon. Her father was a military surgeon specializing in the ear, nose and throat. Her mother was a Registered Nurse who would later become a Ph.D in pediatric nursing.

Reese spent the first four years of her life in Wiesbaden, Germany where her father served as a lieutenant colonel in the US Army reserves. Shortly after, John moved the family back to the States, settling in Nashville, Tennessee.
