I don’t know how many of you have watched The Surreal Life in the past, but they have come out with a spin off that involves using contestants from the past six seasons of the show. For those of you not familiar with The Surreal Life, it is a reality show on VH1 that require celebrities to live together and do various challenges and tasks together. The celebrities on the show are always past their prime or are not well known. The spin off, The Surreal Life Fame Games, takes 10 past Surreal Life celebrities and puts them up in a house in Las Vegas. Celebrities on the show are Rob Van Winkle (Vanilla Ice), Verne Troyer (Mini Me), Andrea Lowell (Playboy TV), Chyna Doll (Wrestling), Traci Bingham (Baywatch, Playboy), Ron Jeremy (Porn Star), Pepa (of Salt and Pepa), Brigitte Nielson (Model), CC Deville (Poison), and Emmanuel Lewis (Webster).
The first competition of the show involved all 10 celebrities convening on the Las Vegas Strip for a photo session with tourist. In order to win, tourists had to ask the celebrities to take a photo with them. The celebrity asked to take the most photos won the competition, and top honors went to Vanilla Ice. The three lowest scoring celebrities would then lose the competition and then be classified as the “bottom feeders.” Bottom feeders were Verne Troyer, Brigitte Nielson, and Andrea Lowell.
Celebrities on the show live in a house that is divided into two sections, the A List, and the B List. Bottom feeders must live in the B List portion of the house. The A listers have all the accommodations and amenities one would expect a celebrity to have in a mansion, while B listers have a simple room to share with the bare essentials.
The show was actually interesting in a strange way and I don’t really know why. Well, it could have something to do with the fact that all the women on the show are just titillating, if you know what I mean. Overall the first episode was not Gone With The Wind, but from what they showed in future clips, this show is going to be a riot and I am looking forward to watching these washed-up celebrities throw down. Clips showed house members hooking up and then showed Vanilla Ice going freaking ballistic and breaking and smashing shit.
The show is basically a popularity contest between celebrities that no one really cares about, but I think you are going to want to check this one out. If you like watching has-been celebrities mix it up then you will definitely going to want to check out The Surreal Life Fame Games. Find out more about The Surreal Life Fames Games at VH1.
