Ciara Says She and 50 Cent Not an Item

The 21-year old singer Ciara said she wants to have her first child in about four years, but wants to get more established in her career first. Then she will settle down with "a great man." Ciara also said that great man is not 50 Cent. Well, at least not right now. The single Crunk & B singer is denying that she and 50 Cent have something going on despite rumors that the two were spotted riding together through Queens a few weeks ago.
"I'm single," Ciara said recently, after a taping of TRL in the MTV studios. "It's a process. At this point, I'm learning more about myself. I have moments when I'm like, it would be great to have somebody there. Then I have moments when I say, 'I'm 21 and I'm single and I have to enjoy myself.' But I am one person who enjoys love. I love love. I'm looking forward to that day when Prince Charming is in my life. I know it sounds cheesy. But one of my goals is to have a solid family and have kids.
"I want to have my first child by 25," she continued. "That's not too young, is it? I want five kids, and there's no way I can have five kids and start too late." As for 50, his collaboration with Ciara has been getting play on the radio. It's called Can't Leave 'Em Alone and the Southern dimepiece is singing about being attracted to a thugged-out guy.
"I felt like I needed a rapper to complete it and bring life to the record even more," Ciara said of the song. "I felt 50 was perfect because of his persona and the way he moves on a record. His melody is amazing. We didn't [record in the studio] together, but he is a sweet person." Not so sweet is NFL superstar Reggie Bush, or at least the character he plays in Ciara's new video for "Like a Boy." He hasn't been doing right, and she wants to turn the tables.
She also described her new album: "It's a record for my women," Ciara explained. "It's something we all go through. I had a lot of girl talks during the album-making process, and we all shared so many stories that were similar. It's amazing how we all go through similar things. So I said, 'What would it be like if the roles were reversed?' It's a female-empowerment record.
"We were going hard with embodying the male persona," she added of dressing up like a boy in the video. "I was really going hard with trying to make the lyrics come to life. I have on my suit, my white tee with baggy jeans and my Jordans."
Ciara says she wants to shoot at least one movie this year, but she can't dabble too much in Hollywood right now. She's focused on her music. Releasing at least three more singles from her current album, The Evolution, and headlining a world tour toward the end of the summer are chief on her to-do list for 2007.
