Blades of Glory Ices Competition
Add one part Will Ferrell and Jon Heder, one part funky hair, and one part demented storyline and you've got a blockbuster movie. Just Ferrell's"Talladega Nights," "Blades of Glory" iced the competition to the tune of $33 million, easily beating the computer-animated films "Meet the Robinsons" and "TMNT," and the semi-computer-animated action frenzy "300." I went to check out Blades on Saturday night and let me just say that it was even funnier than I expected.
The movie kept me laughing throughout, and I even had a couple of those deep-down belly laughs that start to hurt. There are even some instant one-liner classics that everyone is going to want to use. With that said, I have to rate this movie as a "go check it out!" There are several cameos by past ice skating legends, including Nancy Kerrigan.
