Eve Pleads Not Guilty to Drunken Driving

After allegedly crashing her Maserati into a cement divider in Hollywood, rapper Eve pleaded not guilty Tuesday to two drunken driving-related charges.

If found guilty, she faces a maximum penalty of a $1,000 fine and six months in jail.  Eve did not appear in the Los Angeles court Tuesday. Her attorney entered the plea on her behalf.

Here’s my thought:  If you are going to plead not guilty why the hell aren’t you showing up for your court date?  Just another celebrity who thinks they are above the law I’m sure.
