Paris Gets Her Get Out of Jail Free Card

Wow I really can’t say this is a surprise!  After just serving 3 out of 45 days she was sentenced, Paris Hilton has been released from the Century Regional Detention Facility.

The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department announced they would hold a news conference to discuss Hilton’s early release later today.

Un-friggin’ believable I swear!  Once again the power of being a celebrity overrides the decision of the courts.  I would say that the only way a big time celebrity would actually be treated as you or I would, would be brought up on charges of murder, but we all know that doesn’t hold water thanks to OJ!

UPDATE: Paris has been put on house arrest and is wearing an ankle bracelet.

UPDATE 2: Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Dept. spokesperson, Steve Whitmore made it clear that Paris was not released early — she was reassigned.
