Nicole Kidman on Her Secret Engagement

Nicole Kidman says she was engaged to a mystery man in between breaking up with Tom Cruise and marrying Keith Urban. “I didn’t really want a relationship,” the 40-year-old actress says. “I just wanted my kids to have me, and I didn’t feel comfortable having some person in that small hubbub.”
“And then I got engaged to somebody … but it just wasn’t right,” she continues in Vanity Fair magazine’s October issue, on newsstands September 11. “I wasn’t ready. We weren’t ready.”
“I get engaged and I get married — that’s my thing,” she says, declining to reveal her former fiance’s identity. “I don’t want to date. I’m interested in a very, very deep connection.”

Geeeze! Seems like I’m a mean person tday…but I don’t like her either. AND, I DON’T think she’s “all that”, as all else do. I’ve enjoyed only a couple of her films…just not one of my favorite actresses. She IS still married to K. Urban rite?

KIDMAN CAN KEEP DREAMING…SHE’S REACHING THE AGE WHERE IT’S TOUGH HAVING KIDS – ESPECIALLY WITH A DRUNKEN HUSBAND LIKE URBAN. Gimme a break, he’ll never want to be bogged down by kids-they’ll drive him to drink. She’s always in dream land in interviews and she’s so bllahhh blah blahh..whatever!!!!!!!

Only one of Kidman’s lovers in between Cruise and Urban got to fly home to Australia to meet the parents….and go on holiday with them. That was Steve Bing. He is the obvious mystery fiance. Her ramblings about ‘yearning’ to have a child are transparent in the light of the knowledge that she, despite being forty years of age, has just signed up to do five more movies back to back. Not the action of a woman who longs to have a baby. She also said that if she ever met Mr. Right she would marry him and give up movies to focus on her husband and having a child with him. Looks like Urban has been chucked into the same basket as the two kids she already has but never sees. The “too hard’ one.Oh well, I suppose she could always phone in motherly love. Just like she phones in her screen performances.
