Kanye West Rocks Fiddy in Album Sales

Early sales figures show that Kanye West is winning the battle against 50 Cent. Yep, according to Nielsen Soundscan, Kanye’s new album Graduation has moved 431,000 copies on its day of release in the US, compared to only 310,000 copies of 50 Cent’s Curtis. Fiddy if going to have to eat his words!

US reports suggest Kanye could sell 575,000 to 700,000 copies of his third album, while 50 Cent is expected to move only about 550,000 units. 50 Cent said he’ll retire if doesn’t sell more records than the Jesus Walks rapper.

Meanwhile, Kanye has also revealed the reason behind his backstage outburst at the MTV Video Music Awards. He stated he was upset at not being able to perform on the main stage, and was merely offered an intimate ‘performance suite’ at the Palm’s Casino Resort in Las Vegas. Awl, poor Kanye!
