Racists in humanitarian clothing! I had heard such an accusation in the past regarding Oprah Winfrey, but I started looking around and a lot of things really started to add up. Last September, TMZ had an article on their site that mentioned how Oprah bragged with her friend, Gayle King, on XM Satellite radio about how she has an almost all white staff, and refered to them as “all these white people.”

Yahoo!: When Oprah opened her school for girls in Africa, she was asked a question that she wasn’t prepared to answer. The question was, “Why don’t I see any white girls?” Her response was with distain on her face was, “Oh, I don’t care about no white girls.” It is obvious that this was not an answer that she really wanted to make, and I have not seen it again but just the live feed and that was it one time.

Yet, in another news clip Oprah declares that she will not rest until every “black boy” and every “black girl” has had a chance to prove their worth. Then there is Senator Barack Hussein Obama.

Fox News: The nation’s only black senator, Barack Obama, D-Ill., asked voters at two black churches and at a Nashville rally to elect Ford, a Democrat who is trying to become the first black senator from the South in more than 100 years.

“I know that all of you are going to work the next couple of days to make sure it happens, because I’m feeling lonely in Washington,”Obama said at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church.”I need my dear friend to join me.”

And it doesn’t stop there for the senator and presidential hopeful. The quote below is taken from Obama’s book, “Dreams of My Father”:

There was something about him that made me wary,” Obama wrote. “A little too sure of himself, maybe. And white.”

It’s known that Obama favors racial preferences for select minorities in both the business world and academia. And from the quotes above, so does Oprah. With this evidence, it could be concluded that Obama, and is main supporter, Oprah, are both racist? If not, maybe it’s just black pride?

Obama’s church, Chicago’s Trinity United Church of Christ once adopted a Black Value System. Here are their main points as written by a committee:

1. Commitment to God
2. Commitment to the Black Community
3. Commitment to the Black Family
4. Dedication to the Pursuit of Education
5. Dedication to the Pursuit of Excellence
6. Adherence to the Black Work Ethic
7. Commitment to Self-Discipline and Self-Respect
8. Disavowal of the Pursuit of “Middleclassness”
9. Pledge to make the fruits of all developing and acquired skills available to the Black Community
10. Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources for Strengthening and Supporting Black Institutions
11. Pledge allegiance to all Black leadership who espouse and embrace the Black Value System
12. Personal commitment to embracement of the Black Value System.

Would it be acceptable for any Caucasian to subscribe to a church that had ”dedication to the white family” or “strengthening and supporting white institutions?” I don’t think so! In the United States, we believe in innocence until proven guilty, but we also believe in corroborating evidence.

Gayle: They’re so nice to me. They give you clothes and food.

Oprah [still in Black slang accent]: They give you clothes and you get food to take home. And they give you good clothes, too, not all worn out. That’s what my grandmother used to say to me. And I now say that I wish she had lived to see that I did grow up to get some good White folks–[yelling:]WORKING FOR ME!

Gayle [also yelling]: WORKING FOR YOU!

Oprah [still yelling]: WORKING FOR ME!

Oprah: All these good White folks.

Gayle: There’s [sic] White people everywhere.

Oprah: ["White folks"] Everywhere–only one Black man in here.

Gayle: ["White folks"] Working. Hehehehe! [laughs again at "White folks"]

Oprah: There’s one ["White folk"] everywhere you look. There’s George [a "White folk" employee of HOprah]. More White folks, thumbing up. Yeah, George is giving the thumbs up

Gayle: “I’m a Good White Folk.”

Oprah: Hehehehe! [Laughing at her "White folks."]
