Michael Wilborn Heart Attack
Michael Wilbon, the well-known Washington Post sports writer and co-host of ESPN’s “Pardon The Interruption,” suffered a minor heart attack early on Monday morning. According to reports, Michael had complained chest pains to his wife around in the early morning.
She then drove him to the hospital, he submitted himself, and then doctors found minor blockage in his heart and performed an angioplasty, which successfully removed the blockage. Michael is expected to be home by mid-week.
Michael missed the airing of Monday’s episode of “PTI,” but sports writer J.A. Adande filled the void. Co-host Tony Kornheiser mentioned that Mike was out with chest pains during the telecast, but didn’t find out until later that it actually was a heart attack.
