On the first real night of season 7 “American Idol,” the guys hit the stage and performed songs from the ’60s. Of course, some of them “made it their own” and others were harshly criticized for not. Overall, I wasn’t impressed at all, but 3 to 4 of these guys have the pipes (not those) to get the job done!

The Big Three Guys on Idol: 

• David Archuleta sang “Shop Around” and he may be looking for a new mansion! 
• Jason Castro sang “What a Day for a Daydream” with his guitar and dreamed big!
• Michael Johns sang “Light My Fire” and lit the judges up in a good way! 

These three guys received nothing but praise from Randy, Paula, and Simon, and look to be on their way! But what will the ladies do tonight?

Idol Men Who Suck:

• Danny Noriega singing “Jailhouse Rock” did not!
• Garrett Haley is wasting my time!
