First Round of American Idol Contestants Sent Home

First the guys had their shot, then the women performed, but last night was the first round of voting on “American Idol.” Of the top 24 contestants, the 2 men and 2 women with the lowest number of votes had to hit the bricks. In the order in which they left the show, here are the first 4 voted off Idol island: 

1. Garrett Haley — Like I said 2 days ago, “He’s wasting my time.”

2. Amy Davis — Paula said, “Now it’s her chance. Paint that knob on the door and go for it!”

3. Joanne Borgella — Randy said, “It wasn’t your best performance.”

4. Colton Berry — Paula said, “Now it’s up to you to pick the right songs and go for it!” Simon said, “Get a good job and enjoy singing. I don’t think you will make a successful career out of it.”
