Valerie Bertinelli on Cheating, Drugs, Divorce

Valerie Bertinelli tells all! She sat was featured on the Oprah Winfrey show yesterday and the actress talked about her 26-year marriage to rocker Eddie Van Halen. Valerie said both she and Eddie have admitted to infidelity.

“I wasn’t an angel, either. I cheated too. He claims to this day that I cheated first, but I don’t know. I don’t know about the timing.”

Valerie and Eddie were married in 1981 when she was only 20-years old. However, they separated in 2001 and officially divorced December of 2007. Valerie, now 47, admitted to struggling with a cocaine addiction.

“I got to the point where whenever I heard the birds chirp, I’d be like, ‘Oh, God, no.’ It took me years after stopping the cocaine before I was able to enjoy a sunrise and enjoy the sound of birds.”

Valerie also talked with Oprah about gaining weight and feeling fat as a child. She told the audience that she recently lost 40 pounds and is now the spokeswoman for Jenny Craig.
