Paula Abdul Plans Return To TV

Fans of Paula Abdul are still lamenting her absence from this season of “American Idol,” but the former judge may be back on television as soon as this summer! Sources have confirmed to EW’s TV correspondent Michael Ausiello that Abdul will be headlining a new version of “Star Search” for ABC. The original “Star Search” aired in the 80s, hosted by the late Ed McMahon. Obviously, ABC is looking for it’s own version of the hugely popular “American Idol,” and hopes Paula can bring some of that magic to the show.

Can The Kardashians Keep Up With Kim?

Is Kim Kadarshian getting too famous for the show that made her a star? The best known of the large clan is in negotiations for the fifth season of “Keeping Up with the Kadashians,” and it’s possible that the show can’t afford Kim! An inside source dished to RadarOnline, “Kim’s advisors feel that it’s time to explore bigger deals on bigger networks. She’s right to feel like she doesn’t need to open up her personal life to make a living on TV. It looks like Kim can make a lot more money than the TV show can pay her, especially through her endorsement deals and doing appearances on bigger network shows.” Kim is also raking in the cash from her commercials, especially the new one where she hawks salads for fast food chain Carl’s Jr. The source added, “Kim makes more money from that commercial than from an entire season of ‘The Kardashians!’” If E! is unable to strike a deal with Kim, will the show go on without her? Probably not. It’s more likely that the network would cancel “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” to concentrate on the Miami-Khloe-Kourtney franchise, which could feature guest shots by Kim.You can’t really blame Kim for grabbing at opportunities when they come up!

This does not bode well for the other “Twilight” stars with films coming out soon. Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning have their teen rock band biopic “The Runaways” making its debut on Friday. If the Twi-hards failed to come out for R-Patz, will they be interested in Kristen without him? And what about Taylor Lautner? He’s been signed to several upcoming high-budget films—does he have the appeal to make them hits? Only time (and future box office totals) will tell whether the kids from “Twilight” can stand on their own.

Miley plays a rebellious teen who is sent to live with her divorced dad for the summer and finds romance in a southern beach town. Fans will see a much more grown-up Miley than they’ve grown used to on “Hannah Montana!”

We’ve still got a few weeks left to shoot, so I’m constantly sort of surprised when I’m given a new script. I mean, it’s insane the things they come up with, but really in a great way. This time Claire is a different person, it’s basically a whole other Claire, so it’s been fun sort of figuring out her journey.” “Lost” spoiler sites are predicting that eight characters will bite the dust by the end of the show’s finale on May 23, so Claire’s journey may be coming to a sudden halt!
