Is This the Next Miss USA?

Odds makers think so. The betting site Sports-Odds.com has picked Miss California Nicole Michele Johnson as their early favorite to take the Miss USA 2010 title this weekend. The 24-year-old brunette is given +800 odds, followed by the candidates from Idaho and Nebraska, both with +1000 odds. The long shot is Miss District of Colombia MacKenzie Green with +500,000. Ouch! Whoever she is, the winner will be crowned this Sunday, May 16, in Las Vegas.

Lindsay to Tackle Porn Star Role?

The producer of an upcoming film about 70s porn star Linda Lovelace claims that erratic actress Lindsay Lohan has been cast in the leading role. Wali Razaqi, the producer of the film “Inferno,” stated: “Lindsay Lohan has been cast as Linda Lovelace” in Inferno…We’ve all thought that Lindsay would be a great choice for a while now, and we’re all convinced that she is going to do it.” The story of the reluctant porn star who later became an anti-porn crusader could be meaty enough to get Lindsay’s career back on track, but if the film turns out to be a sleazy exploitation flick, it could wreck her chances of ever making a comeback.

Beauty pageants used to be rather boring affairs where the contestants paraded in one-piece swimsuits and answered questions about world peace, but not any more! This year’s beauties vying for the Miss USA title posed in sexy lingerie for this eye-popping gallery of photos. Pictured are Connecticut’s Ashley Bickford (above), Florida’s Megan Clement, Lacey Wilson of Massachusetts, Wyoming’s Claire Schreiner and South Dakota’s Emily Anne Miller. Kimmel’s “Lost” Finale is a Hot Ticket

If you’re a “Lost” fan hoping for tickets the “Jimmy Kimmel Live” show on May 23, good luck. The “Aloha to Lost” special taping that night has drawn more studio audience ticket requests than any other episode in the show’s seven years on the air. Cast members Naveen Andrews, Nestor Carbonell, Alan Dale, Jeremy Davies, Emilie de Ravin, Michael Emerson, Matthew Fox, Daniel Dae Kim, Terry O’Quinn and Harold Perrineau will join Jimmy in the studio, while Jorge Garcia, Josh Holloway and Evangeline Lilly make special appearances. The show will also air three alternate final endings from the show’s executive producers. If you’re not lucky enough to score tickets, at least we can all watch it on ABC following the “Lost” two-and-a-half-hour series finale.

“Iron Man 2” Tops Box Office

After all the anticipation and hype, “Iron Man 2” finally hit theaters this weekend, and not surprisingly opened in the top spot. The sequel brought in $133.6 million, a big jump from the $98.6 million debut of the original “Iron Man” in 2008. The film stars Robert Downey Jr. and there are a bunch of other guys in it, but wouldn’t you rather look at a photo of “Black Widow” Scarlett Johansson?

I really hate to rag on Miley Cyrus, because so many people are doing it already, but sometimes it’s hard not to. Like when she releases a new CD cover this bad. Yeah, I know she’s almost legal and trying to leave “Hannah Montana” behind while launching a grown-up career, but is this how to do it? I don’t think so. The leather outfit looks like 90s heavy metal and her expression is way too stiff. While we applaud her efforts to move on and grow up, this just doesn’t cut it. What do you think?

“Idol” Sends Aaron Back to School

Tween girls wept tonight as “American Idol” sent its youngest contestant home. 17-year-old Aaron Kelly failed to impress judges with his rendition of “Fly Me to the Moon” on a night dedicated to the legendary Frank Sinatra. Viewers weren’t thrilled, either, since they voted him off. That leaves just four potential idols still standing: front-runner Crystal Bowersox, ever-improving Lee Dewyze, heartthrob Casey James and big daddy Michael Lynche. The latter two have been in the bottom two previously, so both have to be considered vulnerable next week, which will pit the final four against cinema-themed songs with help from mentor Jamie Foxx. The catalog these guys have to choose from is cheesier than a large pizza, heavy on bland 80s pop schlock, so I wish them luck. And Crystal—pick “Over the Rainbow.” Only you can handle it!
