It’s only Wednesday, but the latest installment of “The Twilight Saga” has already taken over the weekend box office. “Eclipse” opened in over 4,000 U.S. theaters at midnight, and quickly raked in an estimated $30 million. That figure easily surpasses the $26.3 million opening day for the previous “Twilight” film, “New Moon.” How much can be expected of the first “Eclipse” weekend? Given the five-day-long holiday debut, “Eclipse” could easily overtake the $200 million opening for last year’s “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.”
