Lindsay Wants Her Career Back

For the last few years, Lindsay Lohan has been better known for her offscreen escapades than any of the few roles she’s played. It’s hard to remember that in her teens, Lindsay was one of the most promising and respected actresses in her age group. Now, after a trip to jail and a stint in rehab, the thespian-turned-party-girl has opened up to Vanity Fair about the mistakes she’s made, which include trusting the wrong people. “So many people around me would say they cared for the wrong reasons,” she told the magazine. “A lot of people were pulling from me, taking from me and not giving. I had a lot of people that were there for me for, you know, the party.” Lindsay also had poor taste in role models. “I would look up to those girls … the Britneys and whatever, and I would be like, I want to be like that.” Well, at least she succeeded at something. Now Lindsay wants to mend her ways. “I want my career back. I want the respect that I had when I was doing great movies. And if that takes not going out to a club at night, then so be it. It’s not fun anyway.” Good luck on that, Linds. People in Hollywood have long memories.

Audrina Goes “Dancing”

The cast of this season’s “Dancing with the Stars” has been announced, and it’s a pretty eclectic mix of D-listers. This year’s wannabe hoofers include Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, from MTV’s “Jersey Shore”; hard-drinking has-been David Hasselhoff; abstinence advocate and teen mom Bristol Palin; retired NFL quarterback Kurt Warner; “Brady Bunch” mom Florence Henderson, Audrina Patridge, from MTV’s “The Hills”; washed-up crooner Michael Bolton; forgotten singer-songwriter Brandy Norwood; Kyle Massey, best known for starring in Disney Channel’s “That’s So Raven”; retired L.A. Laker Rick Fox; comedienne Margaret Cho and ”Dirty Dancing” star Jennifer Grey. While Jennifer’s likely to be one who wows us with her footwork, Audrina’s the only real babe in the bunch. We’ll be watching the first few shows just to see her in those scanty dresses the show is famous for! To reminds us how hot Audrina’s bod is, here are some shots of her in a bikini. Well, last night it did, but there’s no news yet as to whether Sofia will actually streak the Strip. Sofia sounds up for the task, as she told Access Hollywood,  “Listen, I’m not afraid of anything. I’m Colombian.” Until Sofia delivers on her promise, we can console ourselves with photos like this one.

Will Paris Skate on Drug Charge Due to Illegal Search?

Paris Hilton has a pretty good record of getting free from legal problems, and her arrest for cocaine may be even easier to walk away from than the others. While the heiress did do three weeks in the slammer for her 2006 DUI bust, she got out of another charge of marijuana possession by claiming the weed belonged to a friend. Now her Vegas coke bust could wind up getting dismissed due to an improper search—and some high-priced legal help. It seems the Las Vegas cops who arrested Paris this weekend didn’t do it immediately after smelling marijuana wafting from her vehicle. Instead they took her to the security office of the Wynn Las Vegas hotel, where they found the drugs in her bag and arrested her. The Wynn office is equipped with security cameras that caught the whole thing on tape. This could work in Paris’ favor, as a source told RadarOnline, “the search of Paris and arrest was all captured on tape, which could help her tremendously. Her lawyer David Chesnoff is going to claim it was an illegal search, in part because she was taken away from the scene to this other location. Chesnoff will also be able to take apart every single thing that happened during the search and arrest because he’ll have the video to work off of. “Furthermore, Paris repeatedly said while she was being detained that the purse wasn’t hers. Chesnoff is going to get the tape and use it to bolster his contention that the search was illegal.” Now we know why Paris isn’t too upset over the bust!

Vivid’s Not Paying Spencer $5M for Heidi Sex Tape Without Proof

Do you believe Spencer Pratt really has a sex tape of his sometime wife, plastic surgery tragedy Heidi Montag? The president of Vivid Entertainment, the company to which Spencer’s hawking the alleged tape, isn’t buying it—at least not without a free sample. Porn exec Stephen Hirsch has balked at going all the way to Costa Rica to meet with the former reality star unless he sees at least 30 seconds of the tape. That certainly sounds reasonable, since Spencer’s demanding $5 million for his tape collection and it’s a long way from L.A. to Costa Rica. The tape just might be interesting if what Karissa Shannon claims is true. The Playboy pinup told RadarOnline that there is footage of her with Heidi—and Spencer stole it! “Me and Heidi were hanging out at her house in Malibu and he came over to pick up some stuff and he ‘accidentally’ took my camera,” Karissa revealed. “I talk to Heidi every single day and I tried to be there for her when she was going through her divorce, but now it’s starting to affect my life. Spencer had no right to steal my camera. There are other things on there that I don’t want to come out, including the video of me and Heidi.” Sorry Karissa, but this goes way beyond “being there” for a friend. We’re sure to hear more about this story in the next few days, because what else does Spencer have to keep his name in the press?

Kim Asks for Help Picking Emmy Gown

If you watched last night’s Emmy Awards, you saw Kim Kardashian walking the red carpet in a flowing white gown from Marchesa fit for a Grecian goddess. What you didn’t see was the pile of rejected designer creations the reality star left in her wake. As late as Friday, Kim still hadn’t made up her mind which gown to wear, and asked her Twitter friends for help. She tweeted: “I had a late nite Emmy dress fitting! Gonna post dress options on KimKardashian.com will u help me choose which dress to wear? Can’t decide!” Some of the also-rans showed off more of Kim’s bodacious boobs, so let’s hope she wears one of them to another event in the near future!

“Last” Comes in First

“The Last Exorcism” won the weekend box office with not-so-impressive $21.3M. That was enough to edge out “Takers,” which took in a better-than-expected $20.3M. “The Expendables” just keeps hanging in, making another $9.5M for a cume of $82M. Also holding up well is “Eat Pray Love,” bringing in $6.8M. “The Other Guys” took fifth place with $6.2M. Finishing the top ten were “Vampires Suck” ($5.3M), “Inception” ($5. 1M), “Nanny McPhee Returns” ($4.7M), “The Switch” ($4.6M) and “Lottery Ticket” ($4M). The upcoming Labor Day weekend should be a big one with the openings of “Machete,” “The American,” “The Tillman Story,” “Going the Distance” and “The Winning Season.”
