Katy Perry isn’t letting her rejection by “Sesame Street” get her down. Fresh off a flirty, funny appearance on “Saturday Night Live,” the pop star is set to guest star on the long-running animated series “The Simpsons.” Series exec Al Jean told EW.com, “In the wake of Elmo’s terrible betrayal, the Simpsons puppets wish to announce they stand felt-shoulder-to-shoulder with Katy Perry.”

The singer appears as herself in a Christmas-themed episode where she leads puppets of Moe, Bart and the gang in “The 39 Days of Christmas,” and plays barkeep Moe’s girlfriend. We hear Katy wears a very revealing dress on the show, which airs Dec. 5 on Fox.
