The rest of the week’s debuts were indies in limited release, leaving the top ten to be filled out by holdovers: “Hereafter” ($6.4M), “Secretariat” ($5M), “The Social Network” ($4.7M), “Life As We Know It ($4.2M), “The Town” ($2M) and “Conviction ($1.9M). The first weekend in November will be enlivened by the animated comedy “Megamind,” voiced by Will Ferrell, Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill.
