Lady Gaga Sticks to Her Guns and Dumps Target Chain

When there are so many celebs that only give lip service to the causes they claim to support, pop star Lady Gaga is willing to put her money where her heart is. The flamboyant diva has been very vocal about her passion for gay rights and equal marriage, so it was something of a surprise when she inked a promotion deal with the notably conservative Target chain for a special edition of her album “Born This Way.” Not so surprisingly, the deal did not work out, and on Wednesday, Gaga’s publicist stated, “Lady Gaga and Target came to a mutual decision to end their overall exclusive partnership a few weeks ago.” Since Target is known for backing a Political Action Committee that contributes big bucks to anti-gay-marriage candidates, this partnership was doomed from the beginning. Erin Heatherton is Ravishing in Russh Magazine

Maybe Erin Heatherton isn’t as well known as some of the other hotties working for Victoria’s Secret, but she’s on her way! The 21-year-old from Skokie, Illinois, was “discovered” at 16 and left high school to head for New York to pursue a modeling career. Obviously, that worked out very well for the nearly six-foot-tall blonde beauty! Now Erin’s appearing in the latest issue of Australian magazine Russh, and looking red hot in some swimwear that looks rather uncomfortable. Too bad we don’t get to see Erin just take them off! Miley Cyrus Gets Flirtatious with a King of Leon

It’s been at least a couple of months since Miley Cyrus split from her last BF, so it’s no surprise that the precocious pop star has a new man in her sights. The lucky dude is Jared Followill, bassist for rock group the Kings of Leon. 18-year-old Miley and 24-year-old Jared were spotted getting very cozy at an after party following her hosting gig on “Saturday Night Live” last weekend. An observer reported, “They were very flirty sitting side-by-side. They looked very casual and comfortable with each other.” The pair met back in November at the MTV Music Awards in Madrid, and they’ve been keeping the romance going with flirty texts. No Plea Deal for Lindsay Lohan

Sorry,Lindsay! You’re not getting off with probation this time! Lindsay Lohan has said she’d rather go to trial than take a plea deal that involves jail time, and for better or worse, she’s getting her wish. The actress is facing felony grand theft charges involving a $1,200 necklace she “borrowed” a jewelry store that later sold the surveillance tape showing Lindsay walking around the establishment wearing the necklace for $35,000. Lindsay’s lawyer Shawn Holley had a meeting this afternoon with prosecutor Danette Meyers, who will be handling the actress’s case and wants her to get at least six months if convicted.

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz Battle for Custody of Baby Bronx

The upcoming divorce of rocker Pete Wentz and pop star/actress Ashlee Simpson is heating up, and looks like it could get dirty. The couple split last month, with Ashlee filing for divorce and asked for primary physical custody of their two-year-old son, Bronx. On Tuesday, Pete filed papers requesting joint physical and legal custody of the boy. Ashlee also asked the court to send Pete the bill for both sides, but he wants each of them to pay their own legal fees. This breakup seemed fairly amicable when it was announced, but these things have a way of turning ugly when children and money are involved.

Actress Keira Knightley has been the very ladylike face of Chanel fragrances since 2006, and always injects a bit of naughty allure into the ads. This new campaign for Coco Mademoiselle finds Keira at her most adventurous, posing wrapped in just a white sheet and recalling a Bond Girl as she rode a Ducati while wearing a clinging nude catsuit. Best known for her roles in “Pirates of the Caribbean” and “Pride and Prejudice,” Keira is newly single after splitting with longtime BF Rupert Friend. Alice in Chains Bassist Mike Starr Dies

The once-promising life of Alice in Chains bassist Mike Starr came to a tragic end on Tuesday, when he was found dead in his Salt Lake City, Utah, apartment at the age of 44. In the mid-eighties, Starr joined Jerry Cantrell and Sean Kinney in a band called Diamond Lie, which became Alice in Chains when singer Layne Staley joined. As the band’s fame grew, so did Starr’s drug addiction, which led to his being kicked out of the group.

The statement from the studio claimed that Charlie was “engaged in dangerously self-destructive conduct and appears to be very ill.”

Miley Cyrus Scores Big Ratings with “SNL” Hosting Gig

Since she turned 18 a few months ago, Miley Cyrus has been doing a pretty good job of establishing herself as a grown-up star. The former Disney kid proved her talents as a TV host this weekend, when her gig on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” got the second-highest ratings of the season. This year’s winning “SNL” episode had the advantage of a lead-in from a primetime NFL game. Miley also won kudos for her comic flair, especially her opening monologue and deft impersonations of Lindsay Lohan (compete with cleavage) and Justin Bieber. Congratulations, Miley! Rachel Bilson’s Freaking Out About Turning 30

Rachel Bilson doesn’t actually turn 30 until August, but she confided to the Australian edition of Madison Magazine that she’s already getting antsy about the landmark birthday. “I am sort of freaking out. I thought I wasn’t going to, but a lot of my friends are a couple of years older than me and they’re not helping! They keep saying, ‘You’re next’. So I keep saying, ‘What’s going to change? Will I implode or something?’ My 20s have been good to me, I have to say.” So what are Rachel’s plans for the next decade? “I do believe if you come back and talk to me as I’m about to turn 40, I’ll have kids and be married. I think when I become a mum that will be my most important job – and I’m looking forward to it. As for when that will be, I don’t know. 18-year-old Karlie Kloss is a Schoolgirl Supermodel

Six-foot-tall Karlie Kloss is already a sensation on the catwalk, where her sinuous strut has made her a favorite of top designers. Famed photographer Steven Meisel calls Karlie “a model right down to her finger-tips,” but when she’s not posing for photos or walking the runway, Karlie goes home to St. Louis for a more mundane pastime—getting her diploma.
