Not to take classes, or learn anything—nah. Why should Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi do anything to prepare for another career when her 15 minutes of reality fame are over? Right now the poufy-haired guidette from MTV’s “Jersey Shore” is raking in the cash for “personal appearances,” like hosting parties at clubs and speaking to students at the prestigious Rutgers University.

No, this isn’t a leftover April Fool’s joke. Snooki was paid $32,000 to do two Q&A sessions with students where she gave the secrets on styling her famous hairdo and advised them to “study hard, but play harder.” I’m sure the parents who are paying these kids’ tuition were really happy to hear that.

While there was enough student interest to sell out both shows, there was also dissention on campus. One student tweeted, “My tuition dollars wasted on Snooki. Rutgers probably could have paid her with a case of beer.” Another wrote, “As an RU student, I’m really ashamed.”

Snooki better enjoy these cushy, overpaid gigs while she can, because “stars” with no talent don’t last long, and the crash back to anonymity can be brutal.
