You know you’ve had too much to drink when you don’t know where you live. That, along with getting rough with his wife and taunting the police, landed Nicolas Cage in the New Orleans jail.

Thanks to Duane “Dog” Chapman, actor Nicolas Cage is a free man today after spending several hours in a New Orleans hoosegow. The famous bounty hunter bailed Cage out of the jail where he was being held on $11,000 bond. The actor was arrested early Saturday morning after getting in a loud argument with his wife over the address of the home they were renting while he filmed a movie in the Louisiana city. Sources on the scene told TMZ that the “very drunk” Cage began screaming and yelling at his wife Alice and was observed grabbing her arm. A cabbie observing the scene called the cops, who told the Cages to just go home. At this point, Cage became confrontational and yelled, “Why don’t you just arrest me?” the NOPD took him up on it and charged the actor with domestic abuse and disturbing the peace. He had to cool his heels in the jail for about eight hours until Dog bailed him out. It would have been a lot easier and less expensive to just go home and sleep it off, Nic.
