Nobody had ever heard of actress Leighton Meester until “Gossip Girl” debuted. Since then, she’s become one of the most popular young Hollywood actresses, recently appearing with Minka Kelly in “The Roommate.” The latest proof of Leighton’s Star status is her new ad for the Vera Wang fragrance Starstruck. The ad shows her looking much more glamorous than we usually see her, posing on a cool NYC balcony in a Vera Wang gown and vampy makeup.
