Lovers of cartoon superheroes, especially the sexy female type, will be disappointed to hear that we won’t be seeing an updated version of “Wonder Woman” on TV this fall.

After months of anticipation, and a bunch of sexy photos of Adrianne Palicki as the crime-fighting heroine, NBC has passed on the David E. Kelley-produced take on the 70s series. So what went wrong? One source told Deadline, “The audience couldn’t buy into the modernization.” Another commented, “It was a conceptual thing. Do we need a comic book hero?” More specifically, the pilot got mixed reviews at early screenings and the costume designed for Adrianne Palicki was alost universally panned. Too bad—TV could use an ass-kicking heroine about now.
