Avril Lavigne turns 27 in a couple of months, but she seems to be clinging to her long gone teens in these photos. Maybe she’s nostalgic because that’s when she scored most of her hit records, and she’s been trying to chase lost fame ever since then. I’m guessing these photos are for her clothing line that seems to be aimed at the middle school crowd, and she does look cute in them, although she seems to be trying too hard. Would the public be interested in a grown-up, more sophisticated Avril? Maybe not, but she can’t very well drag this pseudo punk look into her 30s.
