Primetime TV just got a lot less sexy with the loss of this show.
It looks like bunny season is over, as “The Playboy Club” became the first casualty of the new crop of television series. NBC’s peek inside the 60s era establishments and their scantily scad waitresses was cancelled after only three episodes due to abysmal ratings. Lamenting the short run of the show was Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, who tweeted his feelings: “I’m sorry NBC’s ‘The Playboy Club’ didn’t find it’s audience. It should have been on cable, aimed at a more adult audience…Fans of ‘The Playboy Club’ are really upset at the cancellation.” Hef added: “At the same time, there is renewed studio interest in a major motion picture on my life & the start of the Sexual Revolution.” While we have to admit that the show wasn’t great, we will miss being able to look at sexy Amber Heard in her bunny costume every week!
