Kady, Luke, Asia’h, and Danny Leave American Idol

Kady Malloy performs on American Idol

American Idol” had to kick off two more guys and two more girls, but not before beat-boxing Blake Lewis started the show off with his new song. After that, the drama once again surrounded the reality of the show and the departure of four Idol hopefuls. Over 36 million votes poured in this week after the guys and girls performed, but who got the boot?

Here they are the wannabes in the order in which they were released. Say goodbye to:

Kady Malloy – She was great when she imitated Britney Spears, but she needed to sing like a real pop star!

Luke Menard – He never really had the talent. He was always just a “good” singer, but not great.

Asia’h Epperson – She auditioned with the show just days after her father passed away and I know she wanted this to happen, but it wasn’t meant to be. We wish her the best!

Danny Noriega – The last two guys standing were Chikeze and Danny — and I was happy Danny got the axe. I think he was original and was totally himself, but he is not what America wants. No hard feelings.

Jordin Sparks Beats Beatboxing Blake in Idol Finale

 Jordin Sparks wins American Idol

After 19 weeks, 11 lame theme nights, an Antonella Internet picture-fest, and a creepy Sanjaya later, the sixth season of American Idol has come to an end with Jordin Sparks taking home the gold. If you caught Tuesday’s show, you probably realized that Jordin locked-up the victory over Blake Lewis with her performances of Christina Aguilera’s “Fighter,” Martina McBride’s “A Broken Wing,” and Idol songwriting contest winner, “This is my now.”

Simon Cowell on American Idol’s Final Two

Jordin Sparks and Blake Lewis - American Idol Season 6 Final Two

Simon Cowell said that this year’s “American Idol” contest has come down to a “brilliant entertainer” (i.e Blake Lewis) and a “great singer” (Jordin Sparks). “I can’t call it at this stage,” Simon said in regards to who he thinks will win. “For Blake, he’s a brilliant entertainer, but the negative is he’s not a fantastic singer.

The advantage for Jordin is she is a great singer and the negative is she hasn’t done one performance yet which I can remember as a wow.”

Blake Lewis News

Blake Lewis 051920

Blake Lewis has been getting a taste of fame over the current season of ”American Idol,” but Blake’s actually had some well-known friends for quite some time. Lewis buddies with Ryan Dusick, the original drummer for Maroon 5, and he’s known the band for six years. “About two years ago, I had lost my cell phone, it was stolen, and I lost touch with them,” Lewis said. The “Idol” hopeful then ran into Dusick’s girlfriend and got reconnected with the guys about a month ago.

On Tuesday’s show, the show’s producers wanted Lewis to sing a Maroon 5 song, but the band had never cleared its music for the show. “I called them the night before we had to pick our songs, and they said I could sing anything I wanted to,” Lewis said. “It was really a solid from them.”
