However, I still question her talk about changing her hair color, but I think everyone is in agreement that blonde is the way to go. A native to Southern California, Gwen Stefani is reaching out to victims of the wildfires by donating proceeds of her concert today at San Diego’s Cox Arena to local charity the San Diego Foundation, which is on the front line in terms of helping the community recover from the ongoing disaster. Gwen announced her giving-effort, saying: 

“San Diego has always been so supportive of me throughout my entire career … living in Orange County, it has always been like a second home to me. When I heard about the devastation of the fires at first I felt I should cancel my show out of respect, but then it occurred to me there might be a more useful solution.”

Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Pink, Gwen Stefani, Earth, Bono,Wind & Fire, Il Divo, Keira Knightley, Hugh Grant, Josh Groban, Jack Black, Helen Mirren, Rascal Flatts, Quincy Jones Annie Lennox were all on hand at the ”American Idol” fund-raiser special “Idol Gives Back” last night. Carrie, of course, brought the goods and both looked and sounded great! “Idol” didn’t release any pictures regarding the fund-rasing special, so I posted this great picture of Carrie during her performance at the American Music Awards.

Can you imagine Gwen Stefani as a brunette? Well, the blonde pop singer told Harper's Bazaar that she's considered coloring her hair brown. "Then I said, 'Nah, I'm gonna milk this blonde as long as I can," Gwen retorted. Gwen also spoke up on the future of her career and had this to say. "Some days, I think there's no way to get away with this any longer," she said in an interview published in the magazine's May issue that can be found on newsstands April 24. Gwen wrapped it up with:

I still feel like that sometimes, even though it's been 20 years. But then some days, I just feel really inspired and I really believe in everything. It's like the 15 minutes just keep getting longer."
