Singer Shakira was on hand for the 2009 American Music Awards (of course) and she looked great in every outfit she put on (duh). She sounded good, too. I guess you could say the book read as good as the cover looked, or something like that. Shakira did not receive an AMA, but she would of had there been a category for hotness! I like Shakira and I like her music, so how does she feel about people that download her music illegally?

“I like what’s going on because I feel closer to the fans and the people who appreciate the music… It’s the democratization of music in a way. And music is a gift. That’s what it should be, a gift.”

Rihanna dropped her latest album, “Rated R”, yesterday and here are some of the album photos. As expected, Rihanna uses every bit of her sexuality in and on this album, which is appropriately titled. And this is new, she even received her first parental advisory warning. Now, this is what I’m talking about! I may have to pick this one up because I do like the single “Russian Roulette”, which was written by both Ne-Yo and Rihanna. A few more fun facts about Rihanna:

• If Rihanna didn’t have a music career, she would like to go into psychology.
• Rihanna is very picky when it comes to food. She won’t eat Mexican, Chinese, Japanese, or Indian food. She also hates vegetables.
• Rihanna is the official sponsor for the Barbados Tourism Agency.
• Rihanna’s nickname is RiRi.

Kim Kardashian looked conservative but nice at the 2009 GQ Men of the Year awards recently. And I for one am surprised. I really can’t believe she showed up for a GQ event looking like this, especially since she is such a party girl! Once again, this look is not bad, but GQ is known for some of the hottest celebrity photoshoots going, so I expected Kim to show a bit more or at least go with something way more sexy. I don’t know what Kim’s deal was, but I do know that she was well of her “A” game. I guess you just never know what to expect., so what did Kim say was the biggest misconception about her and her party crew?

“That we’re all trust-fund kids and we have it so easy. If anything, I find it the complete opposite. I know people think we drive around in these nice cars and we do whatever we want and our parents will pay our credit cards, but that’s not the case. Sure, my parents were generous; I got a nice car at 16, but at 18 I was cut off. I’ve worked really hard. I opened the store myself. Even Paris and Nicole—they’re completely independent, too.”

Actress Oliva Wilde attended Us Weekly’s Hot Hollywood event in LA recently, and rightfully so! Olivia has been featured on this site relentlessy because she’s both talented and beautiful. And wow, just check out Olivia in this amazing white dress and black heels! Very nice. Olivia knew that she was Hollywood bound while very young. In fact, she has been quoted saying that she wanted to become an actress since the age of two! So what happened that made such an impact on her at such a young age?

“Actually, before I made the decision to become an actor, I was totally committed to becoming a rapper, as well as Michael Jackson’s lead backup dancer. But instead of taking the rap world by storm as a beat-boxing six-year-old with some fresh dance moves and a wardrobe full of pink spandex unitards, I set my sights on Hollywood and started taking my training very seriously.

It was while watching a live taping of Saturday Night Live in New York when I was 10 that I knew, without a doubt, that acting was the career for me. Incidentally, Janet Jackson was the musical guest, and at the after-party I was introduced to her backup dancers, one of whom was soon to become the phenomenon known as J.Lo. That was also the night I lost a brownie-eating contest with the late, great Chris Farley — quite the life-changing evening.”

Katy did a little shopping and grabbed a snack after getting a low intensity workout in. Hey, if Katy wants to keep that great bikini body then she has to work for it like everybody else. “On holidays I eat whatever I feel like. But on tour the catering is a lot of grilled chicken—nothing fried. Everything is organic, and I have soy milk. No chips in sight—if they’re in front of you, you eat them. I drink a lot of water, and staying hydrated is important too. I don’t understand how some people live off of diet soda. I have a couple of friends who I have never seen with a bottle of water in their hands. I don’t know how they get recharged.”

Jennifer Hawkins was spotted traveling through the Melbourne Airport on her way to who knows where, but she looked spectacular in a bright top paired with a nice black skirt and high heeled shoes! Of course, the 25 year old Australian model always looks good, which makes me want to take a trip down under, if you know what I mean. For those not familiar with Jennifer, in 2004 she was crowned Miss Universe after a cheerleading career spawned a modeling gig that eventually led her to fame. Damn, it’s always a plus to be hot! Jennifer Hawkins currently works as a television host, although I’d rather see her working it on a runway or in a bikini.
