WTF! “Rehab” Named Song of the Year at 50th Grammy Awards?
Amy Winehouse somehow managed to continue her run through the music world? The drug-using singer earned a nod for her songwriting as she collected the Song of the Year at the 50th Grammy Awards for “Rehab.” Amazingly, Winehouse beat out “Before He Cheats,” “Hey There Delilah,” “Like A Star,” and “Umbrella.”
Of course, Amy Winehouse was not able to attend the ceremony as she was unable to secure a visa, but she awkwardly accepted the award from a London recording studio.
Dixie Chicks Win Big at Grammy’s – WTF????
Retardedly, the Dixie Chicks managed to sweep the Grammy Awards for:
- Record of The Year
- Album of the Year
- Song of the Year
Now I'm a big fan of music in general and even used to be a Dixie Chick's fan to some extent (o.k, I used to not "not like them"), but the Dixie Chicks must just be some kind of great to sweep the BIG 3! Oh, and they won a totoal of 5! All I ask, is who the hell is playing this stuff? I listen to various radio stations and only very rarely do I hear anything from the Dixie Chicks. I think giving awards to musicians that really have great songs is fine, even if they don't get the airplay, but don't songs get more airtime when they are really great? Hmmm?
