Kate Walsh Loves Playing a Lesbian

Kate Walsh has a role most women would enjoy on the ABC series “Private Practice,” since she has plenty of steamy love scenes with her hunky co-star Taye Diggs. The actress has a very different role in the new indie film “Angels Crest,” where she plays a lesbian artist stuck in a small town. Walsh has previously played lesbians in the 2003 film “Under the Tuscan Sun” as well as 2005’s “Inside Out,” so it’s not surprising she was comfortable in the role. The actress told The Advocate, “I loved the character, and the relationship between her and her partner was really interesting to me. There’s humor in how she’s an artist and kind of gruff and no-nonsense. It’s a really beautiful film.”
