New Iron Man Trailer Looks Bad Ass
If there’s one movie you get to see this summer, you better make sure it’s Iron Man. Watching this new trailer makes me want to go build myself an Iron Man suit and try flying off my rooftop!
I’ve never been much of a fan of Robert Downey Jr., but from the looks of it he might redeem himself with this flick. Blowing shit up gets you extra points in my book!
Jodie Foster, “The Brave One” Expects to Cash In
It’s Friday, so time for some movie talk - Time Warner Inc. is expected to rake in a large audience with Friday’s debut of “The Brave One,” a thriller starring Jodie Foster. In the flick, Jodie stars opposite Terrence Howard, and plays a radio reporter who is brutally mugged in an encounter that leaves her seriously injured and her lover dead. Everything goes bad, but then instead of just getting mad, she gets even!
Sean Penn and Others Take Directors Chair
Sean Penn is one of the great actors of his generation, yet he’d like to give it all up to remain behind the camera. “It’s a good idea,” Penn said at the Toronto International Film Festival, where “Into the Wild,” his fourth directing effort, played in advance of its September 21 theatrical debut.
The Toronto festival is showcasing a big collection of films by actors turned directors, among them the filmmaking debuts of Helen Hunt, David Schwimmer, Gael Garcia Bernal.
On “Into the Wild,” Sean adapts Jon Krakauer’s best-seller about Christopher McCandless (Emile Hirsch), a young man whose bold, two-year trek around North America came to a tragic end in Alaska.

You would think the above picture of Jessica Alba was taken after watching Britney’s horrible VMA performance, but you’d be wrong. These photos were taken on the set of “Good Luck Chuck,” a romance comedy where Dane Cook stars as “Chuck” and Jessica plays “Cam Wexler.” Can you give her a more dorky name? Seriously.
Chuck is cursed. Every woman he sleeps with meets her soul mate soon after their encounter. Chuck’s “secret gets out, so women are begging Chuck to help them out. However, Chuck meets Cam, and falls for her, so he doesn’t want to move too fast. By her name in the movie alone, you can probably determine that Jessica plays an uncoordinated, goofy, yet hot babe. Thus, Chuck needs a lot of good luck to make this one work.
Jennifer Hudson Joins Sex and the City Movie
Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson has joined the cast of “Sex and the City: The Movie,” which begins filming next week in New York. Jennifer will play the assistant to Carrie Bradshaw, played by Sarah Jessica Parker, in the movie based on the HBO comedy series. In July, the show’s four leads, including Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon, came aboard for the film after New Line Cinema agreed to finance and distribute it. Chris Noth also joined the cast to reprise his role as Mr. Big.

Here is a sneak peek at Jessica Alba on the set of one of her upcoming movies, “The Eye.” Obviously, the title of the movie is a play on words since Jessica plays a blind woman. Of course, if she really were blind, that might give some of the guys out there a chance. Sorry, couldn’t resist the cheap shot!
The Invasion Stars Nicole Kidman
Opening this week, “The Invasion” is the latest spin on a sci-fi staple: the story of paranoia that comes when you start to suspect that the people around you aren’t what they appear to be. Nicole Kidman has some experience in this department (i.e. Tom Cruise) and she also stars in the movie. Although not a new concept, it’s looks terrifying enough to get your scare on!
Rush Hour 3 Now Showing
Rush Hour 3 hits theaters today which will most likely be just as funny, if not funnier, as the 2 previous movies. I still plan on watching it even though some reviews think it’s the worst one of the bunch. At least you know you’re going to see some action-packed comedy with the Chris Tucker / Jackie Chan duo. As busy as things have been the past month a little laughter is better than none at all!
Jennifer Lopez Defends El Cantante
Jennifer Lopez is firing back at critics of “El Cantante,” her new film with Marc Anthony, the Los Angeles Times reports. Speaking at the Directors Guild of America Theatre in Los Angeles, she insisted that the film is an accurate portrayal of salsa legend Hector Lavoe. Jennifer stated:
“I don’t know what movie [the critics] want to see, because this is the truth.”
Matt Damon - Most Bang For The Buck
According to the people over at Forbes.com, Matt Damon is Hollywood’s best investment. If you need some proof, the third installment of the Bourne series, The Bourne Ultimatum, opened this past weekend and raked in $70.2 million at the box office. It was the biggest August film opening ever! For every dollar Matt was paid for his last three roles, Forbes calculated he brought in $29 worth of gross income, enough to put the 36-year-old star at the top of the list.
